ABOUT FARMERS AND SUPPLIERS
Our farm is located in the Oromia region of Ethiopia, within the East Bale Zone, in an area called Ginir Woreda, specifically at Legeheda Kebele. We primarily focus on growing teff . In addition to our own production, we work with farmers from nearby areas, or kebeles, such as Goro, Ginir, and Berbere, to source additional teff. This collaboration helps us maintain a steady supply and supports local farming communities.

Founder
Abiot Cherinet is the founder and sole proprietor of Effta Foods, a modern food processing and export company specializing in teff production. With 17 years of experience in finance and business, he previously established DONSA General Trading and his accounting firm, Abiot Cherinet Authorized Accounting Firm, in 2006. He has collaborated with various companies, including Kality Foods S.C. and Awasa Textile S.C. Abiot holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Business Management from Addis Ababa University and is dedicated to advancing teff processing and exporting it to global markets.
The Effta Foods team is a dynamic group of professionals from diverse backgrounds, including business, finance, and agricultural science. This multidisciplinary expertise fosters a collaborative environment focused on the efficient production and export of teff, as well as other high-quality products such as beans, pulses, and niger seeds. By combining their knowledge and skills, the team is committed to implementing innovative practices that enhance product quality and sustainability, ultimately aiming to position Effta Foods as a leader in the global market for these nutritious crops.
